We all have this habit of picking our smartphones every minute just to check our Instagram and Facebook notifications and at the end, we get indulged in the never-ending scrolling and meme-exploration. This also happens to us when we are on our bed.

The blue light coming out from the screens of your smartphone, laptop, TV etc., harm the eyes and keep you awake by signaling your brain that there is still daylight as it interprets the blue as the sunlight. So in this way, it leaves you bereft of your sleeping hours.

So to have a Good Night sleep avoid your gadgets for 2-3 hours before sleeping.

It’s an old saying that goes like this,

A good appetite serves you a peaceful night.

So to have a good appetite to follow the steps that include: Avoiding beverages with caffeine or alcohol in the evening. Avoiding eating heavy meals at least 2 hours before going to sleep. Also, if possible, then eat less in the night time.

It’s an old saying by American author and nutritionist Adelle Davis that says,

Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.

It has been proven scientifically that eating less in the dinner has many benefits.

Drink a glass full of water just before going to bed. A warm will be the best. It will serve you a nice morning, and a good time in the washroom. We all have that habit to wake up for long hours in the night and this induces hunger in our sweet little stomach. So to have a good night sleep don’t do this.

Avoid waking up so long or even if you do so they don’t eat much. Have a very light snack in a meager supply.


If possible, then sleep and get up at the same time every day. Avoid having too much gap between everyday sleeping time. It’s ideal to sleep till 9 or 10 but in today’s superfast world this is almost next to impossible. But your body demands the same, even more. So, at least put efforts to wake up and sleep at the same time every day.
